DJT Precision Ltd
Company Information
DJT Precision is a well-established sub contract engineering company, focusing on the design and production of jigs and fixtures, tooling and prototypes for a cross section of industries. The company also utilises pantagraphing facilities for engraving car badges, logos and a variety of other detailed work.
As a direct response to new business challenges, the company designed and developed a security product which they wished to make and market in their own right. They initially sought help from the JIIC with the aesthetic appearance of this product.
Brief
The first project required the JIIC team to advise DJT on best practice and standards of application for anodised aluminium products, create suitable ranges of anodised finishes and a variety of logotype design finishes to help individualise the product and maximise its appeal to its prospective customer base. They were also required to provide advice and guidance on how to present these products for sale on the company's webpage.
As a development of this first project the JIIC team were then asked by DJT to help in the diversification of their product range and develop a new product range utilising design and CAD for complimentary products including aluminium and silver car tax discs, a range of male jewellery and car related products.

JIIC assistance has assisted this traditional engineering company with product development and diversification. Introducing a complimentary new product to their existing range has enabled the company to break in to new marketplaces, and achieve new sales alongside its traditional range. Utilising the expertise of the JIIC the company has proven the need for design coupled with the best use of CAD technologies.
