The TCT 2008 Conference and Exhibition will be held on 21-22 October 2008 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, featuring cutting edge jewellery technology and educational seminars.

The two day event will showcase the very latest technologies that can be utilised in the jewellery and high-value goods sector.

Complementing the exhibition, the Technology for Jewellery seminar day on October 22nd, which is being supported by the Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre at Birmingham City University, features presentations from Frank Cooper (JIIC Technical Manager) on a basic introduction to Rapid Prototyping (RP) and Rapid Manufacturing (RM) technology for the jeweller, and Gay Penfold (JIIC Centre Manager) who will discuss designing for Rapid Manufacturing and other emerging technologies. The event, chaired by Peter Taylor, Technology and Training Director of Goldsmiths' Company also features presentations from other renowned experts in the industry, and is also supported by West Midlands Technology Network (WMTN) which JIIC is a partner in.

On 10th November 2008 the RPMA (Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Association) 'Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing in the Creative Industries' seminar day will be hosted by the Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre.

This is a free event, beginning at 10am, at the JIIC, School of Jewellery, Vittoria Street, Birmingham, B1 3PA.
