  • The first project required the JIIC team to advise DJT on best practice and standards of application for anodised aluminium products.

Co-ordinates the delivery of Government policy in the region, helps people to understand that policy, and informs Ministers of the region's needs. Supplies ERDF funding to JIIC to deliver the New Product Development project.


The Regional Development Agency (RDA) for the West Midlands. Has supported JIIC since its inception particulary with capital investment in equipment for use in conjunction with the New product Development project.


The Birmingham City University provides directorate and faculty level support and senior management for the Centre as a whole, JIIC contributes to Birmingham City University's research strategy.

Helping UK manufacturers to share knowledge, improving productivity and achieving success in an increasingly competitive global economy. JIIC is an MAS associate and provides consultancy to SME's through MAS.


The national trade association promoting and protecting the growth and prosperity of UK jewellery and silverware suppliers. Supports the New product Development project by disseminating information to its West Midlands members and through in - kind match funding.


Test and hallmarks precious metal items as required by the Hallmaking Act, and provides a wide range of consumer protection for the jewellery and silver industries. Supports JIIC by offering advice and support at board level, and assists with dissemination of JIIC activities through publications/marketing support.


Operates Assay Office London and supports the craft and industry of silversmithing and precious metal jewellery.Supports the JIIC through dissemination and publications.


Working with the local businesses and organisations that share a stake in the future of the Jewellery Quarter. Supports the JIIC by offering advice and support at board level, and assists with disseminatrion of JIIC activities through its activities and relationships with Jewellery Quarter businesses.


Using innovation to help SMEs in the manufacturing, engineering and emerging sectors. JIIC is a partner in this regional project, which adds to the offering available to West Midlands SME's.


Aims to establish a creative, business community in which design and innovation are seen as core business drivers, and companies are supported through a process of culture change to create economic benefit. Supports the JIIC with event/dissemination and high value added project funding.
